![]() The Social Media and the website says that the club is closed. I am not on twitter/facebook so cannot send my enquiry to as stated in the other replies below. They've had enough free money out of me, even if I cancel the DD they will set up another (first was DD27, legit until I stopped it, then they come back with DD29, hhmmm sneaky) I know they have to pay the rent and staff while on lockdown but taking money from (ex for legit reason) members is underhand. A shame, I did enjoy the gym, pity did not read the reviews first. Fair enough, if I was not moving I would wait but I am not travelling 5 miles to go to the Hornchurch gym, ridiculous! They have now taken about £150 from my account since the lockdown and to make things worse the link to cancel on the website DOES NOT WORK so members are unable to cancel!!! Disgusting. Despite emailing the manager and requesting the months resignation she says I can't, because I dont fall into one of 3 categories for resignation : 1: Unemployment, with letter for proof 2: Sick note from doctors if sick for 6 months 3: moving to a new address more than 15 miles to one of their gyms, (and showing proof of new address, like its their business) It's like being back at school, and who travels 15 miles to a gym! I see in the small print that new members are required to 'pay for a full 12 months' regardless, which is a bit of a money grabbing scheme. But I find out I am moving in September so wish to cancel the membership, I cancel the DD in May and reply to the texts they send with a months notice only to find on 1st July the have taken 2 months fee on a new direct debit number! Ok, i should have emailed which I did this week. ![]() I joined the Hornchurch gym in January, which fair enough opened late due to extra works, was promised free month due to late opening, still got charged, started going every other night for 6 weeks until Covid 19 lockdown, and the managers did say they were still going to take the monthly fee and when reopen (September?) will charge half fee for the months following until all even. ![]()
